@SteepleBro907 @darrenrovell They're not regular shoes and I don't think they're made for daily run either. They specifically designed for race day so durability probably not even there. Their target audience is sub elite runners.

@yothere_ @darrenrovell Im not disagreeing with you either have to invest in the future tech. However and agreed with me up on your message $500 is clearly price gouging. The previous $250 range seemed right to me. I just feel the price point takes away from the athlete and makes the shoe the star.

Adidas winning the race to the Sub 2 hour marathon is more of a brand halo moment than an immediate money maker.
That being said, not having the new shoe Sabastian Sawe broke it in available for sale for 23 hours after he crossed the tape is a miss.

Darren Rovell@darrenrovell
Nike spent millions on “Breaking2,” an attempt to break the 2 hour marathon by Eliud Kipchoge. Kipchoge did it in Nikes in 2019, but it was with lazers and pacemakers. It didn’t count. Today, 2 men do it officially. Both in adidas. The hits keep coming.

@SteepleBro907 @darrenrovell Not trying to defend capitalism, here's my take: sure it costs $35 to make but you've neglected the cost for entire project. It's nowhere near $500 but surely it's not $35 either when development cost is accounted for.
English

@darrenrovell $500 is absolutely crazy 😝 but gotta let capitalism price gouge like usual 🤣 Especially when it cost them like $35 to make

@Aganubon1534 @baileysgirl1971 @GusMarcel6 @tomtom_greening @UnderscoreYara So does Japanese imperial, so does all other European royal or literally any constitutional monarchy lol. It even worse for absolute monarchy.
English

@yothere_ @baileysgirl1971 @GusMarcel6 @tomtom_greening @UnderscoreYara The English royal family is as useful as puppets. Expensive ones.
English

" we remember the life of the longest serving Monarch in history. " ?

The Royal Family@RoyalFamily
After a day of events to mark what would have been Queen Elizabeth II’s 100th birthday, we remember the life of the longest serving Monarch in history.
English

@baileysgirl1971 @GusMarcel6 @tomtom_greening @UnderscoreYara I was referring "ruled" to Louis hence the post mentioned "served". Make it makes sense someone at 4 years old "serving" the nation.
English

@yothere_ @GusMarcel6 @tomtom_greening @UnderscoreYara She never ruled - ever.
I like history. Not sure that's "interesting" but - alrighty.
English

@baileysgirl1971 @GusMarcel6 @tomtom_greening @UnderscoreYara There's another term for that. It called "ruling". Anyway, very interesting defend coming from citizen of a nation that built on a foundation of overthrowing a monarchy lol.
English

@yothere_ @GusMarcel6 @tomtom_greening @UnderscoreYara She served less than Louis.
But I'll give you longest serving monarch that never had any actual power.
English

@baileysgirl1971 @GusMarcel6 @tomtom_greening @UnderscoreYara Again, that was why the original post said "serving". She did serve the nation by carrying out public duties as head of country.
English

@yothere_ @GusMarcel6 @tomtom_greening @UnderscoreYara Did she ever actually rule England?
He was welding more power at 4 than she ever did.
He "served" his country as a absolute monarch - not just a figurehead.
English

@baileysgirl1971 @GusMarcel6 @tomtom_greening @UnderscoreYara Did he actually serve the nation when he was 4 years old on the throne?
English

@yothere_ @GusMarcel6 @tomtom_greening @UnderscoreYara She served second longest - behind Louis.
But certainly the longest in England.
English

@baileysgirl1971 @GusMarcel6 @tomtom_greening @UnderscoreYara That's why the post says "longest serving"
English

@PolitlcsUK "White House will get involved" - they sure do because "I am coming with former and current soldiers of the US Military" sounds like an invasion lmfao.
English

@ScottFriedman3 @taylorswift13 if TS somehow get booked, which she likely won't, overcrowding going to be a major issue AEG going to face at that Coachella.
English

@FlossySwift @Nathan13_22 @NoahKahan Oh btw, I do not support* Noah's choice for not providing VIP benefits on these type of tickets
English

@FlossySwift @Nathan13_22 @NoahKahan Yes that is why it is named "Make a difference". Noah Kahan put a post about this before it went on sale. He said he going to donate a small portion but as far as I'm aware it's $1. Regardless, this isn't typical regular. There were tickets in the same section that cost £162.
English

@FlossySwift @Nathan13_22 @NoahKahan Make a difference is not a standard ticket. It's VIP in disguise but without VIP benefits. Why would you pick the most expensive tickets the artist put out to complain anyway? Lmfaoooo
