Been impressed with how little Scottie has settled this season compared to last year. This would've been a three last year -- now it's attacking a closeout and a dunk.

angles vs Boston’s straight-up PoA technique consistently and that setting (switch defenders who play him straight up vs push/implicitly funnel him to a side) really shows off how steep & direct the downhill angles he can get are and how strong his arms are through contact

today vs the Celtics (whose PoA stances I’m guessing are taught quite well based on their guards iso switch tape) the functional strength of Ant’s legs, the excellence of his ball control relative to acceleration & his trunk flexibility moving downhill is letting him open up..

Ant’s contact balance through lower body physicality (leg bumps from defender when he is driving downhill or absorbing contact sliding laterally as a man defender especially) seems historically good and it actualizes his similarly great acceleration when moving downhill
