I have nothing to do with that coin and honestly wasn't really following it (might have seen a few mentions). I'm focused on lots of things, but I'll admit, the trenches is not one of them. People are doing lots of things across Base, and Coinbase more broadly. So I'm not going to jump in and support a coin I have nothing to do with. Sorry to disappoint.

How to make more money in your career:
Have very talented friends going on to new companies recently, and wanted to give my random thoughts on how to position yourself for better roles.
> Degrees are no longer the moat to show proof of domain knowledge to employers (exceptions include ivy or specialized schools)
> Quantifiable proof of work trumps accolades or companies you’ve worked at (show real business outcomes)
> Being chronically online and showing proof you’re up to date with competitors or industry news is becoming standard not “nice to haves” (finger on the pulse)
> Being proficient in AI tooling and agentic workflows is no longer a bonus. You must know this and be a power user.
> Being a genuinely charismatic high performer and being a great culture fit is important in todays job market (people tend to like working with people they get along with)
> The amount you get compensated is directly correlated to the amount of value you provide. Always be up-skilling

Today marks my final day at Cool Cats.
I’ve been drawing Blue Cat since 2013, starting as a doodle, to The Catoonist, to Cool Cats: a digital art collection, a Macy’s Parade balloon, and an animated series. Since I was little, all I ever wanted was to create a character of my own. Blue Cat is how that dream came true.
The Board has decided to take Cool Cats in a new direction, one that no longer includes me. I respect their decision, and I’ll always want the best for Blue Cat.
The closest thing I can compare this feeling to is raising a kid and watching them leave for college. I gave him everything I had over these 13 years, and now it’s time to wish him well.
Thank you to everyone who believed in me, to every employee who poured their heart into this, and to the fans who stood by me through every high and low.
I’m sad to move on, but excited for whatever I create next.
I love you, Blue Cat. Thank you for everything.

Finished lunch with the apes and had 3 hours to kill.
@youngsun recommended a hair salon right across the street from our lunch spot.
The stylist asked me what kind of haircut I wanted.
I said, “honestly whatever you think looks good.”
She looked at me for a second and said, “Bangs. They’ll make you look younger.”

Why Azuki does not put NFTs front and center in every mainstream push like the manga and TCG?
The answer is simple: a lot of manga, anime, and TCG fans still hear “NFT” and make a snap judgment before they ever see the art, story, or product.
We’ve had mainstream publications interested in what we are building, but still unable to work with us commercially because of our NFT roots.
That does not make me less bullish on NFTs. In fact it makes me more bullish bc the mainstream still doesn’t get it yet. I still believe digital art and digital collecting will have another major moment, and Azuki will always be one of the most important anime art collections from this era.
But if we want the world to care about Azuki, we have to meet people where they are today.
Lead with great stories. Great games. Great products. Let the collector layer become something people discover because they fall in love with the world.
I really don’t see this as hiding our roots. I’m one of the longest tenured NFT founders still active so I’m beyond even unc status at this point but I’m very proud of how we got here.
Now it’s about giving the IP the best chance to grow beyond our bubble.
