Warm Lunar New Year wishes to Maplers and builders 🐎✨ RT to share the spirit

gMaple 🍄 The very first Lotus clear on MapleStory N just happened. Congrats to the pioneers—witness the legends in action 🫡

Hope his resolve pays off. Here’s my two cents on @MaplestoryU's current issue. A lot of folks look at MapleStory Universe purely through the ROI lens, while others fire back with “Treating Web3 games as profit machines is exactly what ruins them.” Personally, I’d say 90%+ of players are here mainly for the grind-to-earn angle, but pinning everything on plain P2E or ROI is missing the bigger picture. What MSU tried to spotlight was RX 2.0, the thrill of actually earning items. It’s that purpose-and-reward loop games live on. You know what I mean if you ever stayed up all night farming just to flex a ONE ITEM at school the next morning. Right now, RX 2.0 isn’t running smoothly, and testers who’ve seen it in action feel like the current build is a step backward. Even if the game is boss-centric, Maple N always hyped up field drops rush. For a healthy economy you need clear ladders: low-level zones giving something you can’t get anywhere else, and high-level zones offering their own exclusive perks. Think back to early Lineage. Players could chase a bunch of different purpose-reward strategies based on where they were in the game, each with their own mini-P2E loop. Maple N seems to want that vibe. RX 2.0 is the fun core Maple N is chasing, and even the game’s chief admits that loop is busted right now. It’s beyond just money. At its heart a Web3 game is about contribution, matching rewards, and mutual growth. If someone trashes the reward side or waves the “ownership” flag without context, I just assume they don’t get it. That’s why Director Hwang Sun-young said in today’s notice that they’re focused on “getting the RX experience working as designed.” I really wanted to put that on the table.

Gm, legends. It’s been a few days since the launch of MapleStory Universe, and we’re truly overwhelmed by the incredible support and enthusiasm from our community. The response has far exceeded our expectations. Your passion and engagement gave us a thrilling start—and it’s become our greatest motivation moving forward. Right now, our top priority is stabilizing MapleStory N. We’ve been closely listening to the community’s concerns, especially around ROI—one of the game’s core experiences. We deeply resonate with the feedback. MapleStory N was built with a new economic system, featuring: • A dynamic balance system that adjusts item and NESO supply, • A dynamic pricing system that reflects enhancement demand. However, the intensity of real player engagement has introduced greater volatility than anticipated. We confirmed that ROI is not functioning as intended, and we take this seriously. We are working urgently to adjust item/NESO supply and enhance cost algorithms to ensure the RX gameplay experience feels rewarding as designed. A detailed announcement will follow soon, and fixes will be rolled out swiftly in-game. We’re also addressing technical stability issues and anti-cheat measures through close monitoring and prompt action. The entire team is focused on solving these challenges. We sincerely ask for your understanding during this early adjustment period—and we’re truly grateful for your ongoing support. In addition, our core system, the Reactor—which includes Fission and Fusion—is set to launch within the next few weeks. This will inject new energy into the MSU Market and create a much more dynamic connection between NFTs and $NXPC We believe all answers lie within the community. Let’s continue building @MaplestoryU, together.
