Let me fill you on the Avatar the last Airbender issue - Hundreds of artists worked all through even with the constant fear of losing their jobs - people were excited because it was going to be on the big screen - Production is done - Paramount says nahh guys we are putting on our streaming platform instead - people filed petitions,…crickets - In the last 48 hours, an hacker group leaked the whole movie for free - millions of people have watched it - the videos have been taken down from X, but people are sharing links to download - it is everywhere!!!!! - the only way to come back is for Paramount to release this on the big screen or lose out big time - it’s so sad to see people’s work just dumped online with no respect to creators, the corporations are evil but please the Animators that worked on this deserve a chance for their work to be shown properly. #avatar #movie #avatarthelastairbender

Man I really wish it was put on cinemas, if it generated enough noise and money, it would’ve made an opportunity to do a second or even third movie with this level of production, and it being 2D animation would’ve done so good for this decaying industry

anime theater events are some of the only ways that an animated movie gets to have a cultural moment these days. Aang was perfectly set up to recieve that moment & the people who made the decision to take that away are so shortsighted

even tho I hate fillers I wish we had more filler eps to develop some characters and relationships more, I know it’s the deadlines fault but I do wish that was explored more

I hope the Avatar leak blows up and it convinces Paramount to release the film theatrically.

It's tragic that the Avatar footage got leaked but the fact it did rack up 11 mil views in 6 hours should make the dum bums running Paramount reconsider theatrical. - It was commissioned for theaters - it's where it belongs - it's not like they have much of a 2026 slate anyway.

If you really actually love and care about ATLA, YOU WILL NOT WATCH THAT LEAKED MOVIE. If you do, you don't give a shit about ATLA at all. Wait until it officially releases on October 9th to fully support it and the people for all the hard work they've done on this movie.
