In the coming days, employers will see a stream of resumes of once-in-a-lifetime quality folks. An important thing to understand is that Epic never lowered our hiring standards as we grew, and the layoff wasn't a performance-based "rightsizing" as companies call it nowadays. It's a sound bet that anyone with Epic Games on their resume is in the top few percent of their discipline.

If Fortnite shut down one day i will continue posting gaming news here. I really don't know if this game has any future atp. Tim is destroying the game more and more with every decision he makes To the Epic employees who were laid off today, I wish you the best. Epic doesn't deserve you and your work.

The artist behind Smashers, A.C, Jess, the original Jonesy, Ramirez, most of Base Kyle, Penny, and many more iconic STW things, was laid off today as part of Epics massive layoffs. :( (he also did a lot of work for OW)

Genuinely insane screenshot Steve Danuser was hired in Nov 2024, Directed the Simpsons season and the Chapter 7 storyline... and was laid off 2 seasons into Chapter 7. The guy who was hired to bring the story back to Fortnite, already gone after a year

looking at all the people who got laid off, i would not be surprised if ranked fortnite just like dies in the next year. they fired so many essential people to fortnite's comp scene that idk how smoothly it will continue to run now

Unfortunately, my role was impacted. 7 years on Fortnite now wrapped up. Lots of good people looking for new jobs today. If you know of any that fit my skillset, please let me know
