hey so uh, psycho/telekinesis update: - I’ve made it a habit to only practice before bed every night. I discovered that it seems to be the most effective way to slow my brain down and actually help me fall asleep faster than anything I’ve ever done or tried (including medication) - this also keeps me from fixating or obsessing over it. I like it better as a casual little party trick kind of vibe. - I floated a toothpick last night…which felt more magical than spinning a can or sheet of aluminum tbh. moving metal objects doesn’t feel that special anymore. it feels more like I just have a magnet in my hand and move metal things around with it. I think it feels less interesting to me bc the physics are easy for me to comprehend. but a wooden toothpick? floating? slowly spinning? now that’s some shit. I can’t wrap my head around that. at all. but I did manage to do it 3 times. I had to mark the table with a pencil to track the position of the toothpick bc I didn’t trust my own eyes and thought I was just experiencing hope-induced hallucination. lol. turns out I wasn’t 😅 oh I also made a compass show a false north. I was hoping I could make it wig out like a horror movie and spin like crazy but that was, uh, well I couldn’t do it. but I did get it to move and point the wrong way ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ you should try it. you’d be surprised at how easy it is. killer party trick too. alright, back to work. so much code to write. wish me luck.
