@seandsweeney lol well I guess people live different lives here, it's just such a common thing I type out in texts and whatnot that I can't imagine misspelling it, but maybe your go to public greenspace was Alamo or something
English

@ytisned I only lived there for 8 years, so I can see how a misspelled word gave me away :)
English

@seandsweeney It's commonly shortened to Dolo by anyone who actually has ties to the city, so "De" is a bit of a tell that the observation is coming from a super limited outsider perspective, which is totally fine, but not an authority on SF culture that I'd put any stake in

@moonies_XP When Myki was competing against Jane she was seen as the underdog with no chance of winning since they have very similar skillsets, but now she's the clear frontrunner, and people either want an unexpected winner, or still see her as a Jane alternate and therefore undeserving

@creatine_cycle That sauna is too new to have that level of popularity, the attraction is actually the single bathrooms on the second floor of that gym.

hate is a strong term bc i dont care how other people live, but when i browse zillow, im saddened to see how open concept kitchens have become the default. especially when combined with too many overhead can lights and barn doors.

What home design trend do you hate the most?

@dieworkwear You have dinner parties over 15 people in a average apartment? I was more referring to a situation with a bunch of people holding drinks and mingling with small bites of food available.

@LaytonGiordani I don't think it's necessarily an issue about knowing the origins. It's about intent, it's about being there for the music and actually dancing. It's about creating a space where phones aren't constantly out and there isn't a reliance on visuals.

valid. i hope the new generation can learn the origins of house music. it’s our duty to educate the younger 18+ crowds and speak thru the music to teach them the way. as for the clout chasers… fuck em
holy baloney 🐙@urstrulybaloney
@LaytonGiordani no one is saying anyone owns house music. it’s just sad to see that the music i was brought up on is becoming a trend for clout instead of going for the actual music and people not feeling as safe cus the wrong people are at these events
