This is the Zerowake GATES Team. ​We would like to begin by sincerely apologizing for the confusion and inconvenience caused during the recent update and operational changes. ​ Through this letter, we aim to provide additional context regarding the upcoming update, along with a brief explanation of the rationale behind each change. 1. Addition of Painter of the Night and Low Tide in Twilight to the Standard Recruitment Banner With this update, Painter of the Night and Low Tide in Twilight will be added to the standard recruitment pool. We understand that this decision may feel disappointing or frustrating, especially for Awakeners who have already experienced or obtained this content. This change was reviewed in light of the numerous suggestions and requests we have received over time. During the review process, we also discussed limiting this addition to a return-player event. However, after considering the volume and consistency of long-term feedback, we decided to proceed with this approach. We acknowledge that we did not provide enough advance explanation for this decision, and we sincerely apologize for the confusion and frustration this may have caused. 2. Restoration of the Combat Rations System The previously reworked Combat Rations system will be restored to its original format. After the revision, we received extensive feedback indicating that the new system caused inconvenience during actual gameplay. Based on these experiences, we decided to revert the system to prioritize comfort and usability. We apologize for the disruption caused by this change. 3. Improvements to Esper Recruitment Structure To reduce the burden of Esper recruitment, we will be improving the system so that 1 SR Esper is guaranteed when performing 10 pulls on a limited Esper banner. This adjustment is intended to provide a more reliable baseline and help ensure that your gameplay progression feels more stable. 4. AI Chat System Improvements The following improvements are planned for the AI Chat system: When responses are blocked due to restricted words related to AI ethics or safety policies, pair-specific alternative dialogue will be added. A retry logic will be implemented when responses are displayed incorrectly due to Unicode errors. The frequency of overly repetitive filler phrases will be adjusted. The AI Chat system will continue to restrict responses that violate ethical and safety policies, including explicit, abusive, insulting, excessively negative, or harmful content. In addition to the changes above, several reward improvements are also planned. Rewards in the Dimensional Exploration Shop will be increased, including Guide rewards. Awakeners who purchased an SR Guide before these changes will receive the SSR Guide card. Free Pass rewards will be adjusted so that helpful progression rewards continue after Level 31. Further details regarding these adjustments and compensation criteria will be shared through a separate notice. Through this update, the development team was reminded once again of how important it is to place Awakener experience and feedback at the center of our decisions. As an apology for the inconvenience caused, 10 Limited Recruitment Tickets will be sent to you via in-game mail. @ZerowakeGATES 10 hours is still bad 😒...not to mention the reduction in the pass rewards. And when are you going to fix the Esper recruitment? If I wanted 50 guides, on my last 50 recruitments, I would have go to the guide recruitment, not the espers one.
