damn, i haven't posted anything for so long.... really want to draw something and just post it, but in my mind anything i do is never enough, which is exhausting. not pretty enough, not skilled enough, not perfect enough... ugh :(

@_NeonGhost oh, thanks for the advice! rn i'm distracted by doll customization and it gives me joy, but my heart still belongs to digital drawing and i hope someday i can be productive in this....

@yukeesfreezer The letting go of some control is important: then if the drawing isn’t “perfect,” it doesn’t feel like a personal failure. It’s just an experiment.

@_NeonGhost i feel like i no longer know how to have fun with my art... have no idea what should i do to bring joy in drawing process for me again 🥹

@yukeesfreezer I’ve always struggled with this too, but recently I’ve learned that I need to have a “low stakes” practice in addition to making finished work. Doing experimental work just for fun (even if I don’t show it to anyone) has made art exciting again and has helped with burnout.
