@jinxgp I think the only thing outta character for Toph from LoK was her not only being a cop but creating the cops to begin with. There's no way in hell Toph would ever do something like that. I'd see Sokka create them before her maybe even Suki as a modern Kyoshi Warriors group.

This is how I know a lot of y’all don’t actually pay attention to Toph’s character outside of her being badass bc her ending up a deadbeat is no surprise imo. She gave her daughters the freedom she had always wanted for herself as a child thinking she was doing them a favor-

I do not wish to partake in too much more Avatar discussion because I value what few brain cells I have left, but I will say this since we are on the subject: TLoK turning Toph into a deadbeat single mother of two children by two different fathers is one of the worst and most unsavory writing decisions for a show I have ever seen.

"One team member for each element + non-bending" seems to be the writers' logic for excluding her, but that was never a rule.
Kuruk's team had 2 firebenders (Hei-Ran & Nyahitha), Kyoshi's had 4 earthbenders (herself, Lek, Lao Ge & Wong) & Aang's had 2 non-benders (Sokka & Suki).
