🩺 For the first time in over 15 years, Dr. Yousef Kudsi, a Syrian surgical oncologist from Brigham and Massachusetts General Hospital at Harvard University, returned to his homeland as part of SAMS’ Ramadan medical mission—providing life-saving surgeries, consultations, and critical care to patients in Northwest Syria. With the full support of SAMS, Dr. Kudsi worked alongside local medical teams to alleviate suffering in a collapsing healthcare system, bringing expertise and vital treatment to those in desperate need. 💬 Reflecting on his journey, he shared: "I was overjoyed to see my country, my family, and my friends again. But at the same time, I felt deep sorrow witnessing the devastation in healthcare and daily life. The medical system in Syria has completely collapsed, and without SAMS’ support, the suffering would be unimaginable." ✨ A message of hope from Dr. Kudsi: "What we need now more than ever is hope.
