Let's have a look back at our ancestors' white privilege👇👇👇
A bone-weary coal miner, broken by the pit and shrouded in choking black coal dust, crouches in a rusty tin bath as his long-suffering wife, the silent backbone of his household, furiously scrubs and erases every last trace of his unearned white privilege from the pale skin hidden beneath the grime.

@ThoNg676733 Oh yes! The song playing as I walked into Top Rank, Watford for the first time! Happy memories

@Landeur That is appalling. I’ve seen Chris Parry interviewed on tv and I follow him here on X; I’ve always felt that, not only is he highly intelligent, but that he’s a man of courageous and patriotic principles who really knows his stuff. A loss to Reform and to the people of Hampshire

The problem with Reform is that if you ever say anything that could risk the tiniest bit of bad news you will be immediately thrown under the bus.
Chris Parry is a war hero; he deserves to be treated better than this.

🚨NEW: Reform UK has dropped Chris Parry as its Hampshire mayoral candidate following his comments in which he described a volunteer group providing security to the Jewish community as "cosplayers"

My mummy has to sleep on her back, propped up at 40 degrees for a while. Last night I tried to jump on her, so she put a pillow over her chesticles & then I tried to sleep on that but she said it hurt, so I slept on her stomach with my head on the pillow #Helpful

Married for 10 years… and today, we finally hold our very first child in our arms.
It’s hard to explain what this moment feels like. After a decade of waiting, of hopes, of prayers that sometimes felt unanswered, we are now living the miracle we always dreamed of.
Some people may never understand the quiet tears we shared when months turned into years, and years into a decade. The empty nursery we avoided, the countless times we smiled on the outside while feeling the weight of silence inside.
But today… everything changed. That silence was replaced with the soft cry of a new life. The arms that once ached to hold someone are now full. And the love that we carried all these years finally has a face, a name, a heartbeat we can call our own.
We don’t share this to seek attention. We share because maybe someone out there is still waiting, still hoping, still wondering if miracles can really happen.
This is our proof: they do.

Am I the only person who's never seen Love Actually! Last night on Newsnight, Nick Watt talked about a Love Actually moment, this morning on @TimesRadio = it's been a total Love Actually love-in and I still don't know what it means. #puzzled

Just a very gentle reminder to the seven people on here who haven’t bought one of my books, that they’re available here:
