There are so many grift mints popping up left and right these days. Most people have shiny object syndrome and do little to no research before throwing money at them. I'm telling you right now, if there is no front-facing founder, fully doxxed team member, or someone willing to put their real-life reputation on the line, there's a very high chance you're getting rugged. Full stop. People are seeing this new NFT wave as a quick payday, and you'd be surprised how fast someone can spin up a collection overnight now, especially with AI. I could make one in a few hours, easy. And every time people reward these grifts, it sends a message to everyone else watching that they can get away with it too. It takes 5 minutes to do a quick website search, X scroll, or Discord browse to figure out whether a team is actually here to build. There's a reason these grifters run 2000-3000 supply collections at low mint prices like $5-$10. It's an easy $10K + in their pocket, and many WILL disappear after. They know people are willing to gamble some pocket change for a possible pump, and they're exploiting that to the max. Free mints are a bit different, but even then, don't expect miracles. A lot of people still cash out through trading volume and royalties before moving on. And when alpha groups start pump and dumping these projects too, it becomes an even bigger issue. There's basically zero responsibility in this space sometimes, and it's up to the leaders to help set a better standard moving forward so we don't lose even more people to NFT rugs. Crypto attracts a lot of bottom-feeders who ARE trying to take advantage of you. Never forget that. We're going to be much more strict with collabs at @SpaceRidersXYZ moving forward because it's become obvious that a lot of people are trying to ride our coattails for social currency while bringing little to nothing in return.
