Last year I was proud to deliver on my promise to Figen Murray to introduce Martyn’s Law, in memory of her son Martyn Hett. Martyn’s Law will help save lives by making sure venues and event spots have clear plans in place and are ready to act if the worst happens.

Brazilian sculptor Arlindo Armacollo became locally famous for creating wax figures of well-known figures such as Nelson Mandela, Mother Teresa, Albert Einstein, and Pope John Paul II. First displayed in the town of Rolândia, the collection later went viral online, drawing attention and debate over the statues’ unusual realism.
