“To strive for justice is a sacred duty, and I am ready to lay down my life for Haqeeqi Azadi (true freedom) of my nation. At this moment, Pakistan is being governed solely under “Asim Law”. Here, verdicts are pre-written and merely announced aloud. Like the baseless decisions and sentences of the past three years, the Toshakhana 2 verdict is nothing new for me. This ruling, too, was delivered in haste, without any evidence and without fulfilling legal requirements. Neither we nor our lawyers were even given opportunity to present our case. The sustained solitary confinement imposed on me and my wife constitutes severe mental torture. We are barred from books, television, and meetings. Although television access is granted to every other prisoner, even this fundamental facility has been withheld from me and Bushra Bibi. The books sent by my family are confiscated by jail authorities, and we are kept in solitary confinement for weeks at a time. This treatment is inhumane, yet all this oppression and brutality cannot weaken my resolve. It is not our tradition to target women and children. Our religion mandates mercy toward women even during warfare, yet here they are being persecuted purely out of political vendetta. I am deeply saddened and distressed by the mistreatment and brutality faced by my sisters and other women outside Adiala Jail. The treatment meted out to Bushra Bibi, Dr. Yasmin, Mahrang Baloch, and other women stands in clear violation of Islamic traditions and moral values. Bushra Bibi, my wife, has been subjected to solitary confinement purely because of personal hostility towards me, even though she has no political role and is a homemaker. The army is mine and belongs to the people of Pakistan. When I criticize Asim Munir, it is criticism of an individual, just as past dictators were criticized. Asim Munir did not come into power through a public referendum or popular vote. Whatever is happening to me in jail is being carried out on the instructions of a colonel acting under Asim Munir’s orders. The rule of law in Pakistan has been severely undermined. Just as in 2007, PCO judges who sided with a dictator and tarnished the sanctity of the judiciary earned no respect, while those who resisted were hailed as national heroes. Similarly, today, the judges who are resisting this system are our heroes, while those acting as puppets, obediently following orders, lack conscience and are no different from the PCO judges of the Musharraf era. For the struggle to restore the rule of law and uphold the Constitution, it is essential for the Insaf Lawyers Forum and legal fraternity to step forward decisively. Only a just legal system can safeguard the people; without it, neither economic progress nor moral development is possible. I have full confidence in Salman Safdar and his team and have instructed them to file an appeal against these bogus decisions in the Islamabad High Court. My message for Sohail Afridi is to prepare for a street movement. The entire nation must rise for their rights!! "عاصم منیر کی جانب سے پاکستان میں "ہارڈ سٹیٹ" کا جو تصور فروغ دینے کی کوشش کی جا رہی ہے، وہ بالکل غلط ہے۔ ہارڈ سٹیٹ کا اصل مطلب ہے ایسی ریاست جہاں آئین کی بالادستی، قانون کی عملداری، عدل و انصاف کا نظام، اور جمہوری آزادی ہو، جہاں ذاتی مفاد نہیں بلکہ ملک و قوم کا مفاد مقدم ہو۔ جبکہ عاصم منیر کی "ہارڈ سٹیٹ" سے مراد ایسی ریاست ہے جہاں جمہوریت کے تمام ستونوں کو کچل کر "عاصم لاء" نافذ ہو۔ یاد رکھیں، عوام کی تائید اور حمایت کے بغیر کسی بھی ملک میں کسی “ہارڈ سٹیٹ” کا قیام ناممکن ہے۔ جو مظالم عاصم لاء کے تحت ڈھائے جا رہے ہیں، ان سے ریاست "ہارڈ" نہیں بلکہ اس کی جڑیں مزید کمزور ہو رہی ہیں۔ 26 نومبر اور مریدکے کی طرح اپنی ہی فوج، رینجرز اور پولیس کے ذریعے اپنی ہی عوام پر گولیاں برسانے سے کوئی ریاست مضبوط نہیں ہو سکتی۔ خیبرپختونخوا کے عوام نے تحریکِ انصاف کو بھرپور مینڈیٹ دیا ہے۔ اس مینڈیٹ کے تحت یہ میرا آئینی اور جمہوری حق ہے کہ صوبے کی پالیسیاں خود مرتب کروں، کیونکہ میں براہِ راست عوام کو جوابدہ ہوں۔ وزیرِاعلیٰ خیبرپختونخوا سہیل آفریدی کا بھی یہ حق ہے کہ وہ میرے ساتھ مشاورت سے صوبے میں ان پالیسیوں کا نفاذ یقینی بنائیں، جن کے لیے عوام نے ہم پر اعتماد کر کے ہمیں ووٹ دیا ہے۔ تحریکِ انصاف کے دور حکومت میں بہتر پالیسیوں کے باعث خیبرپختونخوا سمیت ملک بھر میں امن قائم ہوا، مگر رجیم چینج کے بعد سے حالات مسلسل بگڑتے جا رہے ہیں۔ میں تین سال سے مسلسل کہتا آیا ہوں کہ ہمیں دانشمندی اور دوراندیشی کا مظاہرہ کرتے ہوئے افغانستان کے ساتھ پرامن انداز میں معاملات آگے بڑھانے چاہییں۔ افغانستان سے کشیدہ صورتحال نہایت تشویشناک ہے۔ نفرت اور تصادم کسی کے مفاد میں نہیں، عوام کے حقیقی نمائندوں کی بنائی ہوئی پالیسیاں ہی دہشتگردی کا دیرپا حل نکال سکتی ہیں۔ میرے خلاف قائم جھوٹے اور بے بنیاد مقدمات کو جان بوجھ کر لٹکایا جا رہا ہے۔ القادر ٹرسٹ کیس میں گزشتہ دس ماہ سے انصاف کا قتل ہو رہا ہے۔ مشکل سے 10 ماہ بعد کیس کی سماعت کی تاریخ ملی، مگر ضمانت کا فیصلہ تاحال تاخیر کا شکار ہے۔ میں تحریکِ انصاف کے تمام سیاسی قائدین، اراکینِ اسمبلی، اور وکلاء کو ہدایت دیتا ہوں کہ اب سے میرے تمام کیسز کی عدالتی کارروائیوں میں باقاعدگی سے شرکت کریں، سماعت کے موقع پر عدالت میں موجود رہیں، اور انصاف کے حصول تک اپنی موجودگی برقرار رکھیں۔ اوپن کورٹ کے کیسز میں شرکت آپ کا قانونی و جمہوری حق ہے۔ تحریکِ انصاف کے دورِ حکومت میں نواز شریف کو جیل میں روزانہ کثیر تعداد میں سیاسی رہنماؤں سے ملاقات کی اجازت تھی، فیملی کو بلا روک ٹوک رسائی حاصل تھی، بلکہ جیل میں دعوتوں تک کا اہتمام کیا جاتا تھا۔ اس کے برعکس آج مجھے مکمل تنہائی میں رکھا گیا ہے۔ اس سے بڑی سیاسی انتقام کی مثال پاکستان کی تاریخ میں نہیں ملتی۔ مجھے جیل مینول کے مطابق بنیادی سہولیات فراہم نہیں کی جا رہیں۔ پچھلے دس مہینوں میں صرف ایک بار میرے بیٹوں سے بات کروائی گئی، وہ بھی تین تین منٹ کے دو مختصر وقفوں سے۔ مجھے ناصرف بنیادی انسانی حقوق سے محروم رکھا جا رہا ہے بلکہ بطور پارٹی لیڈر، اپنے سیاسی ورکرز سے ملاقات کی اجازت بھی نہیں دی جا رہی۔ وکلاء، سیاسی رفقاء اور اہلِ خانہ سے ملاقات میں بھی مسلسل رکاوٹیں ڈالی جا رہی ہیں۔ یہ سراسر بنیادی اور قانونی حقوق کی خلاف ورزی ہے” سابق وزیراعظم عمران خان کا بہنوں اور وکلأ کے ذریعے اڈیالہ جیل سے پیغام (21 اکتوبر، 2025)

I responded by reminding them that I am a former Prime Minister and I represent eighty percent population of Pakistani. I will speak on every issue that is in the interests of my people. I have every right to raise my voice for them. No power can strip me of this right, nor can anyone silence my voice on matters that concern the interests of my country and my people. Their second question was why I repeatedly raise the issue of Afghanistan and foreign policy. My answer was that the prudent policies adopted during PTI's tenure ushered in an era of unprecedented peace in Pakistan, most notably in the tribal regions. Today, as military operations drag us back into turmoil, I cannot remain silent while my people are burned in the fire. During PTI's term in government, Afghanistan was under the anti-Pakistan Ashraf Ghani administration. The Afghan NDS, working in close collaboration with India, was hostile to Pakistan. Even then, we engaged them in dialogue. I personally went to Afghanistan and invited Ashraf Ghani to Pakistan in the interest of peace. This restored peace to the tribal areas and, after a long time, an environment of stability began to take hold there. The then ISI also supported our policy. But the moment Asim Munir assumed command, he turned to threatening the new pro-Pakistan Afghan government and set out to destabilize the situation. Afghan refugees with three generations of roots here were expelled by force, while drone strikes shattered relations between the two nations and destroyed the hard-won peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the tribal areas. There can be no peace until all four stakeholders in the region - the Afghan government, the people of Afghanistan, the Pakistani government, and the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa - sit together. History shows that military operations cannot establish peace no matter how much force is used. The next point of interrogation was about my description of the current situation as “Asim Law.” My answer was that the destruction taking place everywhere in the country today is under Asim Law. This is not propaganda. It is a statement based on facts and ground realities. First, I was abducted from inside court premises by paramilitary Rangers, and the false-flag operation of 9th May (2023) was orchestrated. That operation was preplanned; otherwise, ten thousand PTI workers could not have been rounded up in mere hours.. The CCTV footage was made to disappear to protect the real culprits. After that, those who held press conferences were set free, and those who continued to stand with PTI were subjected to relentless harassment. This scheme did not just crush PTI; it shattered the very foundations of human rights in the country. After that, when the people entrusted us with a two-thirds mandate, it was stolen, and the very thieves whose tales of corruption the ISI itself once told me were imposed on the nation. The Election Commissioner who should have been charged under Article 6 was granted a nine-month extension. The 26th Constitutional Amendment was passed through the Form 47 Assembly, and judges with no conscience were elevated from whom there is no hope for justice. Every institution has been destroyed. The ISI, which was working for peace with Afghanistan during PTI's term, has now been reduced to Asim Munir’s personal mafia whose sole duty is to crush PTI by any means. All of this is happening under Asim Law. The fourth question put to me was why I mention the Fall of Dhaka and compare Asim Munir with Yahya Khan.
