We recently looked at families of Quantum Field Theories in 4 dimensions with a perturbatively reliable UV fixed point at 4 loops (in perturbation theory).
Heres our paper on Physical Review D.

This is (still) my favourite textbook and I mention it to my friends at least once a month.

@MadhilSaleem @MoosaShafiu @hsn_hameed I think thats the word for atom. My curiosity relates to what atoms are made of, so elementary particles like electrons and quarks etc.

There aren't any Dhivehi words for subatomic particles (because we haven't had to talk about them in Dhivehi so much, I guess) -- but if you had to come up for a word for 'electron', perhaps - what would it be?
Are there words for particles?

@MoosaShafiu @hsn_hameed I share that opinion as well! I was writing down some notes in Thaana the other day (just for fun) and thought about the distinction between 'phoaton' and 'photoanu' and got a little curious. I've seen a couple of people go for the latter, which I'm not a huge fan of.

@zaanriyaz @hsn_hameed Good question and well observed reason.
My opinion is that we don't necessarily have to have a replacement local term for every foreign word. Even "electron" is closely borrowed from the Greek word for Amber?
I would be very interested to see Dr Hassan Hameed's take on this.

In case anyone is wondering -- Dhivehi is the language spoken in the Maldives.

I haven’t been on Twitter for a while, but its ArXiv day for me — so here you go;

Perhaps I’ll write a thread about this at some point. Maybe later. Good night.
(really happy about this paper though)

At my institute the quantum and nano experimentalists like to make fun of us for trying to understand what dark matter is - hence my birthday present from @QuantumWorkshop today

Congratulations to my brilliant PhD student @AnshBhatnagar_ on winning the Ella Bryant prize!
Ansh successfully campaigned to increase UKRI PhD stipends in line with inflation.
