I personally love Storms connection to weather, i live in the PNW where weather is eratic. She also has humble beginnings. The problem is that you think people are "focusing more" on physical perception when its just simply existing for us. Im telling you we have had no choice but to depend on the charactization of heroes. 61% of cinematic marvel characters are White. The big 3 are White and we still love them. If anyone knows anything about relating to the "concept" of Peter Parker its going to be someone that doesnt look like him because thats all they can do 😂. Do you have the ability to relate to/understand the characterization of Miles Morales or Storm without focusing on physical perception?

Not really, because it's always about character vs. visual. If you need to see yourself in a character to feel represented it means you are incapable of finding commonality with behavioral traits. It's why a massive chunk of men of all races and creeds align with characters like Superman or Goku. Because they embody 'representation'.
