(1/3) Lets be clear of what ur current system is doing @drewlevin : I can Q on my Chall acc ANY role, pick the HARDEST champ in game like Azir, first time, and NOTHING will happen. But if I lock in off-meta on my main role (even on second low-Masta acc) - just one report bans me.

With the removal of Phase Rush, some people might think that Gragas will be unplayable. But people don't realize that Stormraider's surge is a strictly better version of Phase Rush with a slightly harder condition to meet. (At least for Gragas.) Stormraider's Surge always gives 40% movement speed compared to Phase Rush's 25% - 52.94%. Phase Rush only starts giving slightly more movement speed at lvl 12+. At that point of the game, you mostly care about the slow resist anyway because you can kite easier with regular cooldowns. The biggest difference is that Stormraider's Surge straight up has a 10 seconds lower cooldown than Phase Rush. This is massive during the laning phase and allows you to spam safe trades more often. The trade-off for these "buffs" is that you have to burst 25% max HP, which is gonna be hard or even impossible in some matchups. (K'Sante, Sion, Fiora Parry) But for the most part Gragas won't struggle bursting 25% of someone's HP, he's a burst champ after all. We will just have to adapt and see what's best vs Tank matchups. Potentially Grasp, First Strike, Comet? Drop your thoughts💣👍

@FullAD_Vayne @doaenel idk i feel like people say this yet the best find ways to climb/adapt, shit even u did since ur GM. maybe having a flex pick for when enemy top doesn't show pick could help most toplaners? (cass, vlad, sylas, gragas gravesXD, wukong, yone, pantheon)

@doaenel Now you know why toplaners say the rol has no agency. If you don't get lastpick and you get weaksided, dosn't matter how good you are if enemy jungler is better than yours. You will be afk top to don't die while enemy jungler runs the game and yours jerks it and run it down

I’ve played 500 games of Toplane over the course of the last 50 days. It fucking sucked. If you don’t get griefed by your matchup, you get griefed by your jungler. As much as as I’d love to sit here and talk about how miserable the experience was, the truth is I just feel like I’m not cut out for laning. Whether you play Toplane, midlane, or ADC you’re forced to just accept the fact that you can sometimes do nothing except just sit back and pray for scaling. If I ever decide to do another off-role challenge in the future there’s only one role I’d genuinely consider; Support. Anyways, thankfully Riot is resetting the ladder in 2 days anyways. The Jungle Grind will return once again.

@apokeu @AgathaUwUPower @gumapilled adc players r genuine droolers thats for sure. but yea i dont want to see milio jungle or sum shit, but it's conflicting cuz punishing off-meta makes things stale since the game isn't "solved" even at the highest lvl (kalista supp for example).

@72Person @Spideraxe30 def a huge nerf for higher elos where the games are less volatile and shorter. huge buff for lower elos where you'll see a lot of perma fighting and stalled out games. but the item is even more of a dice roll now.

@Spideraxe30 This is a stronger nerf than I think people are giving credit for. You need 5 kills to make up the difference. That's no easy feat every 90 seconds. Only if you're super snowballing it's a buff.

@carrotthebest @milianalol @JoeMommasMeta literally used the same overarching point about scaling & not ffing. then listed reasons why you shouldn't FF as those enemy mistakes can affect whether a gamestate is winnable IN conjuction with hard scaling. those points in green prolong the game = more time to scale.

@carrotthebest @milianalol @JoeMommasMeta in lower elos people don't know how to end properly, so you can still comeback from massive gold deficits if you scale. people rarely push sidelanes and setup vision to threaten baron on spawn or even when they have it, siege poorly. they also don't prioritize side t2 turrets too

@milianalol @JoeMommasMeta I disagree with this. I would say Coachless win probability estimation is fairly good and in the game I have moments where I sau "game is cooked now" and then I look at th WP and it would be <10%

@Fukvvon @BloomBashful @drewlevin think the issue is the source that's forcing them to adjust. game is already hard and requires heavy adaption, being forced to adjust to an unconventional playstyle adds extra mental stack which prob leads to more frustration in conjunction with initial negative perception .
