@TwelveFiftyOne@MieheLOL@doaenel They probably don't call you a pedophile, favelado and other things to make you want to send them home. Yamato and TFBlade always start typing, we just reply.
@MieheLOL@doaenel@zacoudodge There's a difference flaming someone for their gameplay and telling them to go home. Believe me there are tones of Brazilian free riders here in Ireland living on our prosperity but they are never told to "go home".
After thinking about it a lot over the last few days, I’ve decided to not cast Stage 3 of the GRINGOLAO on my channel.
When I initially made this tournament, I did it with the mindset that I could pick up right where the CBOLAO left off and still give everyone (viewers and content creators alike) the opportunity to still be apart of a fun community event.
I responded to hundreds of messages daily to find enough teams, crowdfunded 2500USD for the prize pool (1000$ of which I pledged), and managed to bring in everyone from all parts of the world to be apart of it.
And I did it all in 5 days.
It got to a point where the workload and stress literally drove me sick, and I remember 2 nights before the tourney started having to stay in the bathroom for hours at a time with symptoms that bordered on fever.
In spite of everything, I thought that it would all be worth it because it would be something that the community would enjoy;
By the community, for the community, to give back to the community.
The fact that things ended as they did with captains complaining about justified decisions, entire teams dropping out because of bruised ego, participants of the tournament (that I viewed in a good light) talking bad about me behind my back, and having opposing teams telling members of mine to “go home” in all chat during tournament games was unreal.
Rather than feeling angry, enraged, or taken aback, there’s only one emotion that really encapsulates the true extent of how I feel;
Sad.
I just feel very fucking sad.
What should’ve been an amazing trip that could’ve somewhat bridged the Brazilian and Western LoL streaming scene together has instead ended up dividing both groups of people further apart.
It’s truly a shame.
For all those who were supportive of our stay here, I thank you and apologize that things didn’t go better.
For all those who want us to go home, we’ll be out of here by the end of next week, don’t worry.
In regards to the GRINGOLAO, the tournament will still continue as scheduled and I will still donate the money to the charity of the winner’s choice, I just won’t personally be affiliated with it anymore.
Regardless of wherever you were located, whether loved us or hated us, supported us or rooted against us, watched from my perspective or someone else’s;
I only hope that you were thoroughly entertained.
I truly wish that things could’ve gone differently.
