One question I often ask in interviews: what did you want to be when you grew up? Sounds soft. It's actually one of the most revealing things you can ask. Very few people when they're young truly want to be a banker/trader/sales person. Yet many later apply for those roles. So anyone who told me they'd always dreamed of working in banking was immediately a red flag. I wasn't looking for the right answer. I was looking for honesty. People's true nature is often easier to see when they're younger. Before the filters and before they learn to say what they think you want to hear. I wanted to be an artist. That's the truth. I spent most of my childhood years drawing and painting and I very nearly went to art school. Would've been a different life. But you can never predict these things. The path from wanting to paint pictures to working in crypto is not one anyone could've mapped out in advance. And that's sort of the point. So, what did you want to be when you grew up?
