To upgrade to the next major version of SFML, I have to fix 352 errors caused by interface changes. I must fix them all, though I don`t understand all the C++ jargon. I have to freeze my code or support both versions. So here`s a question: how many errors is too many to bother?

@UridiumAuthor 😂🤣 I used Araxis Merge several years ago and it was great even then, but expensive If you want to compare 2 sets of files and folders (recursively), a tool I have been using for decades and I'd be lost without is ExamDiff (there is a 30 day trial for the Pro version too)💯

Is there a website that I could go compare all the software that compares files and folders to tell me which is best? GoDotCompareTheMoneySuperMeeekatDotcom maybe?

@UridiumAuthor Notepad is risky - I've lost stuff in that. At least use Notepad++😎. Allows machine resets etc

@zafcode I tend to write blog pages in Notepad first as I've lost whole pages somehow, even though I was using periodic saves. Writing emails ought to be failure-proof. Maybe it should save it in drafts still if you say you want to discard it?

I was just finishing writing an email and I muffed a keypress somehow and it kindly asked whether I wanted to discard the email and took the next key as "Yes, absolutely, I've just spent an hour writing this email, so delete it forever." Gah!

@UridiumAuthor It's not ideal but writing long notes in something like MS OneNote is amazing because it has a full history. Then just paste to a fresh email 😊

I don`t even know what I pressed to cause the delete dialogue box to appear, so I can`t be more careful to avoid it next time. I can say I've never seen that dialogue before, as I never want to delete something I've been working on for an hour and toast the autosaves in drafts.

@UridiumAuthor Sounds maybe like a SoundManager should be doing the work, rather than each object?

I considered an asynchronous sound effect feature so that space buses could just beep regularly and automagically. Unfortunately, a routine that only applies to 7 objects out of 4,000 being run every frame doesn`t stack up as those 4,000 execute checks that tell them to do zip.
