I went unmatched this cycle applying to Internal Medicine
It’s been tough, but I’m committed to growing, improving, and reapplying stronger
Seeking mentors in Internal Medicine who can offer guidance thank you in advance.

I want to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who has been reaching out after matching and sharing messages like this.
We have received so many of these stories, and honestly, it’s incredible to see. This is exactly how this community was built and how it continues to grow!
People from different countries, different backgrounds, different journeys… all coming together with one purpose: to help each other and move forward together.
This is what Project IMG stands for — empowerment, unity, and democratizing access to medical education. Not just in one place, but nationally and globally.
What’s even more inspiring is seeing those who matched now stepping up to give back, mentor, and guide others. That’s how real impact is created.
We are currently connecting with all residents who matched and those who want to continue helping. We’re working on building an amazing mentorship program — completely free — for the community.
There’s a lot coming. And this is just the beginning.
Congratulations to everyone who matched!! you really earned this!!
And for those still in the journey, we are here for you. Always. Forever.

@lexfridman Smart people overthink and internalize external things too deeply. Allow mystery. Allow wonder. Allow appreciation for the incomprehensible. Focus on your journey, which includes helping others, but don't let their journey become yours.
Is @UpToDate going to add an AI to search their database? The info is so reliable. If it just had an AI to help me find what I’m looking for it would be amazing.
My birthday yesterday was a strange day, because my dad died the night before. It was sudden, likely painless, & after a wonderful day with mum and me. It feels a bit crass to be tweeting about this but people keep asking if there’s anything they can do, & there is: learn CPR 🧵
You know how trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole can cause hyperkalemia?
And remember triamterene, the potassium-sparing diuretic that acts on the ENaC channel?
me: what if i asked people on twitter to reply with photos of their pets so that i can give them funny names
boss: how will this help with the brand
me: the what
Hilarious how my non-medical friends will glorify men on dating apps who are med students/residents because they’re ✨doctors✨ and I’m just like girl I’d rather date a crunch wrap supreme than the majority of men I went to med school with 😅
Grief I have learnt is really just love. Its all the love you want to give but cannot. All of that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go.
