Unfortunately, this tweet is going to come back and bite you in the ass. I know it’s meant as virtue signaling, but it’s setting you up to look like a hypocrite, whether you meant it or not. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a fan of GenAI either. But I’m a realist: LLMs are already heavily used in coding. Most major developers are all-in (or heading there fast), and plenty are openly admitting they use it in post-production. Every major video game from here on out is going to involve some GenAI. You’re better off swearing off games entirely… otherwise the next time you boot one up, someone’s gonna quote-tweet or link a screenshot of this when they find out.

I will not support a game if they use AI at ANY level. I don't care how minimal it is, I don't care how "ethical" they say it is. Gen AI at its core is such a pathetic excuse to substitute real passion and work and that lack of humanity disgusts me. Do better.

And of course, correlation does not imply causation. Mass migration and irregular migration do correlate with a rise in crime rates. But that just means there is some kind of relationship, it's not really causal. If we ignore the correlation for fear of being racist or something, nothing gets fixed.

It's more complicated than that, and please don't use amero-centric sources, because all countries are different. You're correct that socio-economic status contributes, but mainly to the kind of crime, not necessarily rates. the TYPE of crime is the biggest issue, and the source varies from country to country. There's no single reason why, but there are aggravating factors. Cultural cohesion and isolation is an aggravating factor. It's not racist to acknowledge that. In fact it's the opposite, if you can figure that out you can help without resorting to drastic measures. So what is the fundamental reason the socioeconomic conditions are the way they are? It's not race, it's not ethnicity, but it is something that contributes. Trying to figure out what is causing it isn't racist, pointing it out isn't racist. That's the first step in solving the problem. Is it lack of integration? Ok, and who is responsible for that? It's a two way street. The state provides the opportunity (and believe me, Sweden does this a LOT), and then it's on the other person to take advantage of that opportunity. It's the second party doing their part that we're having trouble with, but why? I don't have an answer to that question, that's the intellectually honest way to put it
