Steam has now added a warning to customers that they are only buying a license for a game and don’t actually own it. This is ahead of a new law that forbids digital storefronts selling games from using terms like “buy” unless they tell players that they’re only buying a license.

A friend of mine tried it on linux & it surprisingly ran smooth?
makes you think if windows is just an afterthought for unity & the real priority is macOS & (maybe) linux

this is still a current issue, I can't even begin to tell you how many game reviews (both on steam & yt) bashed over a game for having THIS specific screen, even tho the game itself might've been alright.

Unfounded criticism of games based on engine ain't new. In the 2010s many gamers voiced "Made with Unity" as a sign of low quality, regardless of the actual game. Reason was the free license had branding and paid did not. Thus budget had negative correlation to brand visibility.
