For people who say that black and female Dem turnout will suffer if Kamala isn't the candidate: How about a Gretchen Whitmer/Cory Booker ticket? (Just thinkin' out loud. There are probably other ways to solve the problem. And I'm not sure how big a problem it is to begin with.)

Trump was not prosecuted for political reasons but rather bc his fraud became public and was too widespread to ignore.

I’d wager the practices being targeted here are very widespread, and Trump's politics made his prosecution far more likely. Even the appearance of highly selective + politically motivated criminal prosecution is a *very bad look*.

It's weird/disappointing to see Roland Fryer become a darling of some intellectual circles after (because?) he was suspended from Harvard for sexual harassment.
Also - his CJ research was never anything special. He was a big name so it got outsized attention. There's lots of other, much more compelling work in this space. Pick your battles, is what I'm saying.

@coldxman @YousefMunayyer I appreciated hearing the Palestinian side. I’m glad that Coleman allowed him to voice his opinion without too much pushback. YM says the root issue is lack of self determination for Palestinians. He doesn’t seem to understand that the root issue for Israelis is security.

I'm seeing the argument repeated by people I respect: attacking Hamas is childish tit-for-tat. No. These are genocidal maniacs who have zero value for human life. For the sake of both Israelis & Palestinians, they need to eradicated. This is about human safety, not revenge.
