Same goes for Snape btw. He called his friend a slur, created a horrendous curse, abused children in his care, tried to expose Remus as an adult and joined the death eaters. Just cause he then helped Dumbledore doesn't make him an overall good person.

@aureabore them doing good things doesn’t make them overall good ppl. they bullied and sexually harrassed a kid who was already being abused at home, simply because of how he looked and the house he was in, and they never apologized. they aren’t good ppl just because they did a good thing.

IF we're going down the road of weighing up every action like some kind of Anubis for fictional characters, personally I weigh the actions of adults as heavier than those of children. Snape continued to be generally awful, James, Remus, and Sirius did not.
