@internetbutch I always say this, but I hate whoever stereotyped lesbians as being this terfish majority, when the vast majority of lesbians appear to have a more unique relationship with gender than any other group, because we express ourselves more freely, without typical gender constraints.

My generation is focused on avoiding the experience of embarrassment to the point where it doesn’t make sense. They also don’t seem to grasp that feelings of embarrassment pass and that they don’t define you beyond that moment.

One of the reasons I am a liberal and not a leftist is that leftist morality is about power, not rights. Good actions reduce power imbalances, bad actions exacerbate them. Murder, theft, and discrimination can all be justified if they harm a “powerful” person or group. Liberals condemn these actions because they violate individual rights and dignity. Liberalism seeks equal rights, leftism seeks equal power.
