[HIJACKING AND KIDNAPPING] Police foiled a kidnapping plot in Katlehong, resulting in the rescue of two victims and the arrest of four suspects, including a popular Vaal DJ Spitjo from Sebokeng. Preliminary report suggests that, information was received from a night-shift security officer at Eastgate Mall regarding suspicious activities involving individuals impersonating another person using her mobile phone. Acting on this intelligence, police initiated a coordinated, intelligence-driven operation which led to the arrest of three suspects at Eastgate Mall. Subsequent investigations directed the police to a safe house in Dikole Section, Katlehong. Upon arrival, an exchange of gunfire ensued. One additional suspect was apprehended at the scene, and two unlicensed firearms with live ammunition were recovered. Two victims, a male and a female, were found at the ‘safe house’ and rescued without injuries. The female victim had earlier been hijacked while driving a navy blue BMW X3 and was subsequently forced to transfer an estimated amount of R180,000 from her bank accounts.

yep. bc of the meningitis outbreak. here’s what’s going on, MenB is a rare form of meningitis that causes inflammation around the brain and spinal cord, there was an outbreak of this in the UK that's killed students at kent university, where the spread seems to have started. it spreads through close contact like kissing, being sneezed/coughed on, or sharing vapes, straws, drinks, etc. there are some concerns about potential wider spread, but so far it's stayed mostly linked to the kent area.
