@FlyRwandAir really needs to up its game. Three hour delay on a one hour flight to Entebbe. Then they fail to bring a single piece of luggage on the flight. Not one bag!

I usually refuse to even share things like this & believe in not giving space to anything so biased but I was interviewed for hours and we discussed sports and the development of sports/basketball in Africa. I took my time to explain both our context and ambitions as an African sports owner and as a Rwandan. He was focused on the most colonial question, "Why invest in sports [infrastructure] when you are so poor?" And my response was: jobs. And also why not?
He asked me a lot of questions about President Kagame and I know he interviewed others. Not a single comment we made appears anywhere. I'm talking about athletes, owners etc. But Mama Machete gets a whole 10,000 words.
This article wasn't about the growing African sports industry or basketball or even the NBA. There is a narrative at play here and it's not just about PK. It's the same narrative pushed about our neighbors to the far East.
The world has changed. Africa will make money from sports. We need strong and visionary leaders to translate that for our people. And we need Leaders who will not cower.

(App, travel agent, @TurkishAirlines call centre - after 6 attempts - cannot make a simple flight change) please avoid if you can.

@TurkishAirlines is terrible. First they bump us off a flight we had booked months before and now needing to make a flight change on the return they are suggesting the only way to do it is by going physically to their sales office at the airport.

“I know there are many young entrepreneurs and a lot of talent in this room. This is the time for you to do what some of us were not able to do and change things.” - President @PaulKagame at the #Hangapitchfest23. A powerful reminder that the future belongs to the youth & their innovative spirit.

@rikdog72 @Brendennel But here all teams on 15 points would go to points difference and Ireland would be less than Boks after losing by more than 20.
