3/ That's exactly what Zenthis does. Cross-chain swaps in 3-5 seconds. No bridges. No wrapped tokens. Just atomic HTLC settlements between any chains. EVM + non-EVM (Solana, Bitcoin) — native, no relayers needed. Single fee: 0.10% Speed: 3-5 seconds Security: non-custodial, mathematically guaranteed The future of cross-chain isn't bridges. It always was atomic swaps. 🔥 zenthisprotocol.xyz

2/ The root cause Bridges lock your assets in a central contract and issue a wrapped version elsewhere. That contract is a single point of failure. HTLCs (Hash Time-Locked Contracts) solve this: 🔒 Funds stay in your custody until BOTH chains confirm simultaneously ⏱️ Time-locked — if anything fails, funds return automatically 🔗 No middleman, no wrapped tokens, no honeypot

🚨 $328M+ lost to bridge hacks in 2026. Yet most cross-chain protocols still rely on them. There's a better way. Here's how HTLC atomic swaps eliminate the single point of failure. 🧵👇

Gravity Bridge just lost $5.4M. Another bridge, another key compromise. The alternative exists: HTLC atomic swaps. No bridge keys to leak. No validators to corrupt. Just math. Whitelist open for our IDO. Priority allocation. 500 spots. zenthisprotocol.xyz

This isn't theoretical. Zenthis has HTLC contracts live on Sepolia testnet, open-source, with 187 passing tests. Audit in progress. Mainnet when it's ready. zenthisprotocol.xyz Building in public. No bridges. No compromises. 🔷

HTLC atomic swaps flip this: no guardians, no validators, no multi-sig. Alice locks ETH with hash+timelock, Bob locks BTC. If either cheats, both walk away. No keys to steal — just math.

Today $5.4M was drained from Gravity Bridge. Last week Alephium's TokenBridge lost $815K via 3/4 guardian keys. The pattern is always the same: bridge security depends on who holds the keys. There's a simple alternative that eliminates this surface entirely. 🧵

@blockaid_ 3/4 guardians = single point of failure. HTLC atomic swaps don't need guardian sets or quorums. No keys to leak, no threshold to compromise. Just hash + timelock — either the swap settles or both parties walk away.

🚨Blockaid detected an exploit targeting the Alephium TokenBridge on Ethereum. ~$815K drained in ~7 minutes via 3-of-4 compromised guardian keys signing forged VAAs. 13.76M wrapped ALPH minted (>100% of prior supply) + USDT/USDC/WBTC/WETH unlocked from custody. More details in 🧵

@PeckShieldAlert @gravity_bridge Bridge key compromise is the recurring pattern. HTLC atomic swaps eliminate that surface entirely — no bridge keys, no multi-sig exploits. Hash-lock or refund. That's the architecture that doesn't get hacked.

#PeckShieldAlert The @gravity_bridge has been drained of ~$5.4M, including $4.3M $USDC, 274 $ETH (~$553K), $434K $USDT & 14.164 $PAYG ($64K) The hacker has laundered a portion of the stolen assets through #ChangeNow & #Binance, and is still holding 2.102K $ETH (~$4.23M).

@ethics3606 @SpecterAnalyst @gravity_bridge Yes — validator key compromise is the same pattern. HTLC-based swaps avoid this entirely: no keys, no signers, just hash-locked contracts that either settle or refund.

It appears the @gravity_bridge bridge contract key may have been compromised, resulting in the theft of $5.4M. The attacker drained the following assets: USDC: $4.3M WETH: 274 ETH (~$553K) USDT: $434K $PAYG: $64K Theft addresses: 0x7B582033061b96cC3F9421e73a749ED7C62da1F9 0x4d3ca32e687e871a58b78AcAc73bE59AC37C7A47 Stay smart.

This. Bridge-key compromise keeps repeating because bridges inherently introduce a trusted signing layer. HTLC-based atomic swaps sidestep this entirely — no validator keys, no custodians, no multi-sig to exploit. Just cryptographic guarantees: hash + timelock. Either the swap settles or both parties walk away.

Spectra Audit
Spectra Audit@SpectraAudit·
The bridge-key-compromise pattern is the most common of the 2026 exploits. Code audits can't extend across the signing setup, the key custody, or the operator. That's where the projects need to practice proper OpSec. Four of the last five exploits trace back to access control. Solidity wasn't the problem.

BOB is 6.5x cheaper than THORChain on this BTC swap example. Interesting comparison on costs. Zenthis takes a different minimal approach: pure peer-to-peer HTLC atomic swaps (BTC ↔ ETH/EVM) with no complex liquidity layers. Full execution or automatic refund. Testnet live on Sepolia, audit in progress. zenthisprotocol.xyz/whitepaper #AtomicSwaps #CrossChain

DeFi security panic continues... Stake DAO hit hard today with compromised keys. Zenthis offers a fundamentally different approach: pure peer-to-peer HTLC atomic swaps (BTC ↔ ETH/EVM). No smart contract TVL sitting ducks, no custodians. The swap either completes fully or refunds automatically. 🚨 BREAKING: Stake DAO Exploited on Arbitrum Blockaid just flagged an active attack on @StakeDAOHQ. Attacker compromised the deployer private key (0x000755Fbe4A24d7478bfcFC1E561AfCE82d1ff62), reconfigured LayerZero v2 peer, and minted 5.446 TRILLION $vsdCRV (~5.4T tokens). They've already swapped ~43.78 ETH ($91K) and bridged funds to Ethereum. Attacker wallet: 0xeF3C...aa25 Classic key compromise + cross-chain messaging exploit. Stake DAO users: revoke approvals immediately and monitor for updates. DeFi security reminder - never sleep on private keys. 🟦🤖 Base just dropped MCP - AI agents can now directly control your Base smart wallet! @base officially launched the Model Context Protocol (MCP), a powerful new gateway that lets AI agents (in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor,...) connect safely to your Base account. Swap tokens, trade, lend/borrow, manage portfolios, provide liquidity - all via simple natural language prompts like “Find the best USDC yield on Moonwell” or “Swap 0.05 ETH to USDC on Uniswap.” ✅ Live skills from top Base DeFi projects: @Uniswap @Morpho @MoonwellDeFi @AerodromeFi @avantisfi @bankrbot @virtuals_io + many more coming Every onchain action is simulated first and requires your manual approval. No private keys shared. Full control stays with you. This is Base positioning itself as the ultimate home for the agentic onchain economy - autonomous trading, agent payments via x402, and more. The future of DeFi is here and it’s agent-powered. Insanely cool. #Base #MCP #AIAgents #DeFi #Onchain

defi platforms are becoming harder to secure because hackers now use advanced ai tools to find mistakes in smart contracts faster than before. and in crypto, one small mistake is enough to drain millions. so as a user: • avoid putting all your funds in one protocol • don’t follow unrealistic yields • use trusted platforms carefully • and never invest what you can’t afford to lose
Manuel Aráoz@maraoz

PSA: I now consider *all* of DeFi unsafe. Coding agents are superhuman at finding vulnerabilities, and smart contract security is too asymmetric: defenders need to fix every bug while attackers need just one exploit to steal funds.
