Adding to the menagerie in my yard apparently, a little python had its head sticking out of the hole at the top of the downpipe on the front porch and blblblbled at me. I'm calling it Bertha because I can't think of any other fictional characters that live in attics.

@Khorgnir If it makes you feel better, I pay $75 for a 3-month sub and $145 for heroic edition digital expacs; which is more or less the same with exchange rates, but paying that kind of money makes it feel even more egregious.

Which I recognize is not the intent on Blizzard’s part. But regardless of intent, they’re taking my 15 bucks a month and 60+ for expansions, and then not delivering by virtue of the game simply not functioning.

@Kexman People need to remember that a 'casual' is a player that doesn't play at a high-end competitive level; also known as the majority of the playerbase. Every 'casual' I know interacts with all systems across the game for hours a day, how is this not the core demographic?

The moment you say "Our MMORPG shouldn't focus on casuals.", you are proving that you have lost sight of your audience. Or never had that sight to begin with.

Each man thought: one of the others is bound to say something soon, some protest, and then I’ll murmur agreement, not actually say anything, I’m not as stupid as that, but definitely murmur very firmly, so that the others will be in no doubt that I thoroughly disapprove, because at a time like this it behooves all decent men to nearly stand up and be almost heard… But no one said anything. The cowards, each man thought. - Guards! Guards!

Genealogy is wild. I'm not at all surprised by the amount of Scots that settled across the other side of the world in the city named after Edinburgh, but the half-chinese great-grandparent was a bit of a wildcard.

I love when the horrid Queensland heat/humidity goes away so I can open every door and window in the house and get fresh non-airconditioned air for the first time in months, I am so ready for Winter Lite™

Putting it another way, I'm paying to read a published novel, not a WIP draft that requires narrative restructuring and grammatical editing. I absolutely love this game, but when I can play a ftp game that's still in beta and it has less overall issues, something has to give.

If I bought an item that fell apart the second I got home from the store, I'd consider going to another shop. We buy the game and pay the sub; but we want the quality. Delaying content for 1-2 weeks to iron out any issues isn't failure, it's just good business practice.

The issue with the patch cadence isn't that content is dropping quickly, it's that the new content is bug-ridden and clearly needs more time to be dropped in a functional state. No-one is complaining about stuff to do! New content is good! Broken content is bad! Take. The. Time.
