@cesiscribbles It wasn't what I was expecting, but I think they were very in character. Aziraphel has never been inclined to the passionate way humans express love, Crowley also never had that interest before Nina and Maggie gave him human advice. They already loved each other in their own way.

Perhaps they originally intended for Aziraphele to try to bring happiness to the world, with everyone sabotaging his plan. Also, it would have been interesting if they had used Agnes's predictions to give it an ending, but we know they discarded the original lore since s2.
