I actually think it would be positive from an industry structure perspective to enable another competitor to break the oligopoly over cloud infrastructure services held by AWS/Azure/GCP. Ironically, it would be nice to have a competently run public utility that could provide this competitive impulse. But that would require a level of state/institutional capacity that doesn't exist today.

StarGate is a hyperscaler and needs/wants those hundreds of billions so it has the critical mass to credibly match up H2H against Microsoft Azure, AWS and GCP. But what advantages does it bring as a hyperscaler compared to the incumbents?
