@MEMackEast I honestly feel it doesn't pick up till that 4th planet, but the first starts off great enough that I was hooked. I loved it tho. the story, music, battles, etc... only thing I didn't care for was the factory stuff. felt like I needed a guide for most of them lol.

I enjoyed Chrono Cross. it's a weird sequel tho. one day I'll finish ff10. I was having a really hard time getting into the characters back when I finally got to it in 2016. I really think it was the voice acting, which as someone who prefers dubbed anime, that's saying something

FOMO might be one of the worst things these days. folks feel like they'll get left out of something that they really aren't into anyways. there's so many games a ton of people hopped on that I knew weren't for me... so I didn't bother. that conversation wasn't mines to have.

@idonotexistelol I think part of why this is such a problem is because social media tricks people into thinking they need to be apart of every discussion they see come across their feed. Its one of the reasons i say this place is just a carnival funhouse.

basically I just need to stick to older stuff like I have been and enjoy what I already enjoy. I don't hate the genre, but I haven't loved it quite the same since around season 3 of sfv, which is unfortunately the game that started my shift in how I feel about these games.

I'm feeling really deflated by fighting games recently. I think Tokon is gonna be my last attempt here. it looks goof off fun at least. I think the genre isn't for me anymore. I already don't play online with them anymore, and I feel the ones I play for story just don't hit now.

I hate how people still get on people for caring about lore in fighting games. I used to actually read SF plot guides on gamefaqs because I found it interesting. so when I think Capcom does something stupid with said lore, it sucks. not the end of the world, but it still sucks.

finally got the camera working when you're not taking action. there's a LOT to do here, but I almost got the event battles down lookwise. hopefully I can start working on the front view stuff for normal battles/bosses soon. #rpg, #indiegame

I think one of the things about fighting games is people feel they HAVE to play the current game... 1. not enough people are playing the old one. 2. I don't like the new one, but the old one is worse 3. I'm not doing the discord thing. I dunno tho... I play what I want lol.

Finally redid the main menu now that I've moved the project over to rpg maker MZ... a lot of the UI stuff hasn't been updated yet, but here's the start. The background is based on who's in the party and the order. and map names are based on real song titles. #rpg, #indiegame

so one of my biggest complaints with rpg maker mz is the UI. it's not great in MV, but I have a LOT of ways around it ultimately. I felt like I didn't in MZ. but... I found out that the core for Visustella let's you edit and move windows with code... not just parameters. noice.
