Day 5: 54km done. A beautiful, sunny and clear day. Descended to 923m and negotiated several km of ice around Novo Runway. Finally a groomed (safer) ice road down to Whichaway Camp, Schirmacher Oasis. 201km in total. S70 45' 50.598" E11 36' 59.159" @thedukeofed @ScoutsVic

I made it to Arran. I judged the weather perfectly. An early start & sustained paddling saw me across in just over 2.5 hours & I beat the strong winds. However, while putting my tent up in the rising gale, a tent pole broke! I’ve made a temporary fix & I’m warm & dry. Adventure!

@mac1point0 @OilyMuggie @LifeAfloat I think you’ll need to hit the open in Safari button and then Add to Home Screen from there, I don’t think the Twitter app supports adding to Home Screen from what I can tell
