I dated this guy for 3 good years. Everything about him seemed fine. He didn’t have any serious issues, and I always prayed and hoped that one day I would become his wife. The day he proposed to me was one of the happiest days of my life. Honestly, it felt like I had achieved everything I had been hoping for. After the engagement, he came to see my parents to inform them of our plans to get married. Everything seemed perfect. But after that day… I never heard from him again. I tried reaching him many times, but he blocked me everywhere. I didn’t know what I did wrong or what my offense was. I even called one of his friends. He promised to talk to him for me. I also went to his place countless times, hoping to see him and get an explanation, but I never saw him. At some point, I just had to calm myself and pray, hoping he would eventually come back and explain everything. Then after 4 months, I started seeing posts from some of his friends online. They were sharing pictures and videos from his engagement party with another girl. I was shocked. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I cried so much that day and kept praying it was just a bad dream. I called his friend again, and that was when he told me the truth. He said my ex claimed he had found someone he truly loves and wants to spend the rest of his life with. I almost fainted when I heard that. I was completely broken and depressed. The most painful part was that I still didn’t know what I did wrong. Then just yesterday, exactly one week after he went to pay his girlfriend’s bride price, I suddenly started seeing his pictures everywhere online with “RIP” written on them. At first, I didn’t believe it. But after calling the right people to confirm, I was told that he was involved in a t£rrible car acc1dent and paàssed away at the spot. Honestly, I don’t even know how to feel right now, whether to be happy or s@d. But at the same time, I thank God for everything.
