The Brontë Garden Hotel in Harare has long been a go-to for anyone landing in the capital of Zimbabwe. And guess what? Recent stays in 2026 prove it’s still delivering that same excellent service. Despite the city’s usual chaos, the accommodation on the corner of 4th Avenue and Baines stays mostly quiet and tucked away. travelnewpaths.com/2026/05/02/bro…

Zanzibar, a popular travel destination, seems to be a place of contrasts. Probably, you’ve seen those travel brochures with turquoise waters and five-star luxury. However, real island life seems very different. It’s more about the grind, slow-moving officials, and a “Hakuna Matata” lifestyle that tests even the most patient traveler. Read on for more about a different perspective. travelnewpaths.com/2026/04/16/zan…

It turns out that "relaxing by the water" comes with a side of adrenaline when you're hanging out on the northern banks of Lake Kariba. Just a casual reminder from Siavonga that while the view is five-star, the locals in the water aren't there to be your friend. #crodocile threat is real peeps. #licensedphotography #zambia #kariba

The Selati Bridge in Skukuza, Kruger National Park, represents much more than colonial engineering. In fact, it’s also a living monument to the early origins of nature conservation in South Africa. Let’s take a dive into some of the history behind today’s luxury vacation setting on the bridge. touristmeetstraveler.com/2026/kruger-sh…

At the moment, it’s unlikely that anyone visits Iran following governmental advice to just stay away from the war zone, right? Wrong! Actually, there’s a traveler there at the moment bringing boots-on-the-ground footage for interested folks. #iran touristmeetstraveler.com/2026/iran-trav…

@Moonlight_myths Some battles are won with arguments, others are won with patience and quiet growth. You didn’t just walk away, you walked forward. That kind of calm revenge is usually the most unforgettable kind. Success really does hurt louder than words sometimes.

My husband walked out of the courtroom smirking because he thought he won the divorce. He got the house. The savings. Even the dog. But what he didn't know... was that I let him win. The day our divorce was finalized, he strutted past me like he was untouchable. I didn't fight. I didn't cry. I didn't even ask for a dime. The judge signed off, and just like that, everything we built was his. And that's exactly the way I wanted it...for now He thought I was weak, heartbroken, and defeated. But the truth? I was calm because I had something he didn't. A secret I knew that would change it all. One that could blow up everything he was so desperate to protect. You see, two months before we even filed, I found the messages. Late-night texts, hotel receipts, even a second phone. He was cheating.

In Zimbabwe’s wild heart Hwange these are the memories that stay. Not the miles driven or boxes ticked, but the quiet privilege of sharing space with elephants on their terms. Unforgettable doesn’t even begin to cover it.

@Mubarak_mubious Lose weight. Dump cold water. Carry a small flask of warm to hot water with sliced ginger. Drink it all day. For some reason you lose weight.

Zimbabwe rejects $350m US health deal, citing sovereignty concerns. Zimbabwe has walked away from a proposed $350 million health funding agreement with the United States, after President Emmerson Mnangagwa personally directed his government to discontinue negotiations over what Harare describes as a one-sided deal that undermines the country’s sovereignty. zimlive.com/zimbabwe-rejec… via @zimlive

For Canadians and Australians flying to the United Kingdom in the past, it was enviably easy; however, things changed recently, and the days of easy-breezy travel there came crashing down. New regulations became something of a nightmare for unprepared travelers. The days of just hopping from one place to the UK are over for Canadian, Australian, and other folks who hold dual citizenship - touristmeetstraveler.com/2026/united-ki…

I swear the lightning strike that hit our conductor last night nearly gave me a heart attack. I thought a coup had started. Then I thought out gas bottle exploded. Then, the fraideycat dog Baku literally bashed my door open and buried himself under my blankets, crying and shaking... Holy heck!

We had such a heavy downpour of rain in Harare in the early morning hours - it was spectacular. And it looks like another storm is coming; it's windy, and it has started to rain. Be safe; the rain is not joking around.

I hate pretension. I always remember years back. I saw a cartoon of Charlie Brown and Lucy. He was watching the clouds, and he asked Lucy what she could see. (Not exact, but my memory recalls things like her saying...) "I can see the rise of The Renaissance and Existentialism." Charlie said, " I was going to say I saw a horsey and a ducky, but I think I'll just shut up now." Bring on the horseys and duckys, I say!
