Yesterday, our Board Chairperson Mr Alexio Gwenzi and the Zimura team met with the Deputy Minister for Sports, Recreation, Arts and Culture Hon Emily Jesaya to discuss the roadmap for Zimbabwe’s music industry. The delegation addressed the hurdles currently facing the CMO and assured the Ministry that they are working tirelessly to protect members' interests against external interference. Hon. Jesaya urged for closer synergy between Zimura and the Ministry noting that the welfare of our artists is a shared priority. Moving forward, together!

The Zimbabwe Music Rights Association (ZIMURA) is an organisation of composers, authors, producers and publishers of music established to protect their rights under the Copyright Law. Incorporated under Section 22 of the Companies Act (CAP190), ZIMURA was officially registered on March 30, 1982. As a collective administrator of copyright, we proudly represent over 5000 local members while also protecting the rights of international artists, with millions of registered works under protection.
