A haven of information… but also a place of harvesting. We have become the information. Little by little, this miraculous invention turned into a controlled, censored, and manipulated space. Our data has become a currency more valuable than gold. Every piece of our information is exploited, used to steal our time, our money, and our destiny. 💭 What about those who refuse to become the product of the Internet?

Working with Kurt and Evan was really great. We wouldn’t have Mina without @evanashapiro and @izmeckler. 🙏 And personally, I learned so much from @khem in our time working together. But Mina is not based on names and every change is a chance to grow. @o1_labs is the team that built Mina years ago and they’re the reason even Vitalik praises Mina today. Now, they’re stepping back into the game with a strong team of engineers and all their technical power to keep pushing Mina forward. 💪 @bitbanter has serious experience. He was the Founding Executive Director of ZCash, then led the Cosmos ecosystem as the president of Interchain Foundation. Now, he’s bringing all that experience to lead Mina Foundation. But what’s ahead isn’t just about Josh or o1Labs making Mina stronger. We’ve already hit the start button to bring faster, cheaper and more interoperable apps to the Mina community. Mina was The First Programmable zk L1, but let’s be real; it hasn’t gone far enough with native apps. The good thing is, even now, you can build unique apps that run fully on zk, use client-side computation and are made for Web3’s next decade. From the start, Mina wasn’t just about programmability. It was designed to be the Succinct Super Settlement Layer—a chain that can verify the entire blockchain universe with a single proof, in constant time. In the future’s internet, every serious step you take or any consensus scenario you join will require pulling data from archives from 10, 20, or even 50 years ago (most likely by requesting it from centralized providers) and verifying it state by state. But scaling this is impossible in practice. That’s why Ethereum also wants to prove everything and have a single proof for each block. But we’re already way beyond that. Soon, we’ll see apps running in different execution environments and settling on Mina with a single recursive proof. That’s what will take the ecosystem to the next level. Remember, we’re building The Best Settlement Layer Ever. While Ethereum dreams of single proof per block, we’re going way beyond that. We already have a single proof for everything. Literally everything. Mina is gearing up to pull the entire web3 universe into one proof. Execute anywhere, settle to single succinct proof.
