Gas fees are one of crypto's main problems in its quest to offer a web2-like user experience. Well, on Starknet, we are on track to build an ecosystem where gas fees will eventually become fully abstract 🤓 In three steps 👇 Step 1: ✅ Extremely Low Gas Fees Gas fees are already been destroyed on Starknet, with the current average transaction cost being just $0.004 🤯 And this is just the beginning: numerous optimizations are underway to continue reducing them over time (who said Voliton and Stwo? ⚡) Step2: ✅ Choice of token for gas fees payment It is highly inconvenient to always have to pay gas fees with a single token. Starknet is currently the only ecosystem where you can pay your gas fees across the whole network with two tokens: STRK and ETH. Moreover, @avnu_fi has recently launched its Paymaster infrastructure, allowing: 🐺 Users of its dApp to pay gas fees in USDC, USDT, LORDS, SWAY, EKUBO, ZEND and NSTR, with more tokens to come over time. 🐺 Starknet ecosystem dApps to integrate AVNU’s Paymaster into their apps to simplify gas fee payments for their users. We also plan to buidl a protocol-level Paymaster on Starknet, with a timeline still TBD (depending on community demand for this feature, so let us know if you really want it asap! 👀). Step 3: ⏳ Gas Fees? WTF is that? Combining Paymaster with Starknet's ultra-low gas fees brings us closer to a world where users won't have to pay gas fees to use dApps: projects will subsidize gas fees directly for users, similar to how web2 giants typically don't charge users for their infrastructure costs. We aren't joking when we say we want to combine the benefits of web3 with the UX of web2! This world is gradually becoming a reality 🏗️
