Just had my 1st non-joking inquiry as to when book 8 of DCC is coming out. I anticipate # 8, (working title Carl's Book of Boom) to be significantly more straightforward than 7, which was easily the most difficult thing I've ever written. I also anticipate book 9 will kill me.

One thing I quickly noticed after starting with SGAP, is that a LOT of the teams had no idea how to work with creators or find a way to have a mutually beneficial relationship. After hundreds of calls with different game teams, it became clear to me that the problem is much bigger than simple creator campaigns. Most games require support in all things GTM. Making me realise that they often look up to the chain as a publisher of sorts. Whilst SGAP has made progress in the creator program space by showing that its possible to help creators thrive without extracting from them, It also showed me that creator marketing is only one of many funnels within a marketing approach and it isn't being utilized to its fullest extent. Games are in need of people that can help them integrate with the chain's culture, find exposure to traders for liquidity, strategies for web2 exposure and the list goes on and on. Knowing this, I feel more excited than ever to see what happens next in this space. If blockchains can make their gaming arms be more integrated into their ecosystem in addition to being assisted by a great in-house creator program that nurtures those creators - a powerhouse of a support system would be created for their games.

My experience as a strategist for the Solana Gaming Ambassador Program. Having the opportunity to design and execute on a creator program was exciting especially as I had participated in programs on other chains. The problem Games generally didn't know how to find high quality creators and work with them. At the same time making sure Creators get exposure to new audiences and most importantly, paid their value. The Solution A program that onboards a small group of high quality creators that align with the ecosystem's titles and subsidising games for working with the ambassadors. The results - 3.75m Impressions over a 6 month period with <$30 CPM overall. - Several games finding long term ambassadors / advisors - Overall awareness of Solana games heightened across web3 gaming. Fun fact: it's extremely easy to create "active" addresses in crypto. It takes about 50 lines of code to write a script that creates 100m wallets and has them transact onchain (GPT can do it for you!). So lets stop using address count as a metric when evaluation onchain usage.

I have experienced this while interviewing engineers. Eventually, I made a new interview policy that they were far enough from the computer that I could see their hands. They could take notes on paper. They could use the comp for the live-action hands-on collaborative activity. ( think Diagrams in figjam or similar)

I don't do this ever on the TL with DMs, but this is something you'll start experiencing personally from me if you keep using chat-gpt for something you've been paid to write about as a "CREATOR". As I said previously, write your own posts for what you've been paid for.
