@zoidosaurus oh right sorry, should have read your tweet properly 😅

@forsmall_things @baileymeyers @jacobposting @JennyENicholson That's why I said "can be" not "always in every circumstance"
English

@zoidosaurus @baileymeyers @jacobposting @JennyENicholson Depends on the rules of your workplace i guess 🤷♀️ my team manager married one of my coworkers (who's been his subordinate for years) 2 years ago and it wasn't an issue whatsoever
English

@clemmy_danger I'm just saying that even if his entire brand hadn't been "I love my wife," this same situation could have very well had the same outcome
English

@clemmy_danger Hence why I said "can be" and not "always." But even places that allow co-workers to date often have stricter rules when it's boss/employee. In this case, it's one of the /owners/ of the company and an employee. That's a lawsuit waiting to happen
English

@baileymeyers @jacobposting @JennyENicholson If you're the boss and the employee is subordinate to you, then yes it absolutely can be a fire-able offense
English

@jacobposting @JennyENicholson still not exactly fire-able unless he and the employee break up and it leads to a hostile workplace environment — in most companies, personnel dating is not an instantly shit-cannable offense. in this case however…….
