I remember this back in 2022 where this news broke out. I think he was caught because investigators found out the pre-recording was suspicious but what caused to prosecute him was they found Street video evidence of a figure looking suspicious like him even though having their face hidden leaving the crime scene. There's a whole bunch of expose and documentaries on this subject out there on YouTube. You just got to look up the right words related to the situation.
