Actually, God gave us the Bible. This semantic distinction is important because a) your claim is provably false and b) your claim is a prideful one, elevating the work of man over God’s. You speak as though God ought to thank you for elevating the RCC to such heights.

They were written between Malachi and the gospels. God spoke through prophets in the OT (Heb. 1:1). There were no writing prophets in that time period.
