General Randy George served 44 years in the U.S. Army. He earned the Combat Infantryman Badge in two separate wartime periods as both a junior officer and senior officer. He commanded combat troops at every level. He served five years total in combat zones. None of it matters to Hegseth. He's willing to tarnish a widely-respected general officer--known for his professionalism--just for the show of it. This administration does not care about our military.

These officers earned their promotions through decades of service and sacrifice, and a board of generals already selected them through one of the most competitive processes in the entire military. Pete Hegseth went around the Army Secretary, who had repeatedly refused to remove them, and blocked them anyway. Two Black officers. Two women. He may not even have the legal authority to do it.
