@OliverJia1014 My experience may be skewed because it was mostly in a classroom setting, but I’ve never experienced any sort of hostility trying to learn Japanese. Even when asking people on Twitter for tips or help. Where has the hostility come from in your experience?

People who’ve studied languages like Russian, Italian, French, etc. Are those learning communities as abrasive and needlessly hostile as the people studying Japanese? I suspect soft power/weeb media is a big reason for why Japanese attracts a certain kind of person sometimes.

I haven’t played a ton of JRPGs in my time but the few I have played I’ve throughly enjoyed. I finished P5 recently and the final boss was actually a lot of fun. Way more interesting than P3P’s final boss.
