What causes me difficulty is understanding which side this government is choosing. It portrays Ukraine as an enemy, while in reality, in this military conflict, Ukraine is a victim, because Russia attacked Ukraine. This is common knowledge.
This raises concerns and questions: why are we weakening our role in NATO because of this position? And why are our relationships of trust deteriorating?
I have taken part in several NATO exercises since the start of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, where soldiers from other NATO member states directly asked us - Hungarian soldiers - whether we were on Russia’s side, because, judging by our messaging, that’s how it seemed. So tell us, they say, because we want to know.
It was very difficult to hear, because I truly do not understand why we would not want to belong to the strongest military alliance in the world. And why we cannot reach the same position. I do not see the real reason behind this.

🇺🇸🇮🇷 U.S. intelligence just confirmed what the markets already knew: Hormuz isn't opening anytime soon...
Multiple intelligence reports warn that Iran will hold the Strait because it's the only leverage keeping Tehran in the game.
Former CIA Director Bill Burns said Iran now sees Hormuz as "much more potent than even a nuclear weapon."
The war designed to strip Iran of its power accidentally gave it the most consequential strategic weapon on earth: a hand on the valve of 20% of global oil supply.
Iran isn't holding Hormuz out of desperation. It's holding it because the math works.
High energy prices pressure Trump politically. Passage fees fund reconstruction.
And the threat of permanent disruption guarantees Tehran a seat at any negotiation table.
The shipping lane is only two miles wide. One drone can shut it down.
Seizing the coastline doesn't solve the problem because Iran can launch from deep inside the country.
Even after the war ends, intelligence analysts warn Tehran will keep leveraging the Strait for security guarantees and economic recovery.

Als je bij een huwelijk aanwezig mag zijn, is dat altijd eervol. En vandaag natuurlijk helemaal. Vandaag 25 jaar geleden mochten koppels van het zelfde geslacht namelijk voor het eerst met elkaar trouwen. Dankzij de koppels die toen voorgingen, zag ik als 14-jarige puber bevestigd waar ik van binnen nog aan twijfelde: ik hoor erbij, net als ieder ander. In mijn ogen is die gelijkwaardigheid, ook nu na 25 jaar, het belangrijkste aan het universeel huwelijk. De erkenning dat liefde tussen twee mensen er gewoon is.
Zo vanzelfsprekend als dat nu klinkt, was het ook hier in Nederland niet. Aan de openstelling van het huwelijk ging een lange, hobbelige weg vooraf. Inmiddels ervaren we steeds vaker dat dit verworven recht, kennelijk nog geen vanzelfsprekend recht is, maar iets dat we elke dag moeten beschermen. De beste manier om daarmee om te gaan, is door te doen wat deze stellen vandaag deden. Elkaar ten overstaan van iedereen, de belangrijkste plaats in je leven geven.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, on behalf of Donald Trump, expressed regret that the Saudi authorities signed defense agreements with Ukraine without consulting the United States, which had been Saudi Arabia’s main ally. In response, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman noted that the U.S. had failed to fully protect the Kingdom from Iranian strikes, and therefore Saudi Arabia made a decision that could quickly strengthen its defense capabilities. The Crown Prince also stated that his country will continue to be guided by its own national interests when making decisions regarding its defense. This was a slap in the face to Trump from Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in response to Trump’s crude and scandalous public statement that “…now let the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia kiss my ass and be polite to me from now on.” Thus, Trump’s reckless and irresponsible remarks have effectively put U.S.–Saudi relations on pause. The Saudi Crown Prince proved to be more diplomatic than the American president and, notably, did not respond to Rubio by saying that Trump should “kiss my ass” and behave politely toward him in the future 😉

No apology. No hesitation. No asking permission.
Washington has spent six decades telling the world who can trade with Cuba and who cannot. Mexico is saying that era is over. Sovereign nations make their own trade policy. They do not wait for a blockade to be lifted. They act.
First Mexico restarts oil shipments. Now the President is putting the empire on notice. Cuba is not alone. Latin America is waking up. And the days of Washington dictating who gets fuel and who gets starved are coming to an end.

BREAKING: Donald Trump is absolutely panicking.
The new regime that he talks about is headed up by the son of the man he had killed, who every geopolitical expert I’ve spoken to says is more extreme and more belligerent than his father was.
Trump is merely trying to boost the stock market and keep oil prices down while he tries to find an offramp for his chaotic mess of a war.
