Te podes empezar a quejar de que el robot con IA te va a reemplazar o podes aprender con ellos para hacerlos funcionar de manera optima. Lo que dice Martina se conoce como Physical AI y es el futuro laboral para todos aquellos que le dediquen tiempo a estudiar. La clave está en el Reinforcement Learning (una rama del Machine Learning), ya que es la manera en que el robot inteligente aprende a tomar decisiones interactuando con un entorno para maximizar las recompensas acumulativas. Al igual que en la F1, en todas las fábricas modernas se están usando simuladores y entornos virtuales para enseñarle a los robots a realizar acciones. Un robot en una fábrica debe interactuar con el mundo real, con otros robots y también con su entorno (muchas veces incluyendo a los humanos). Por eso, el robot o vehículo autónomo debe aprender una serie de skills a través de recompensas para cumplir con sus tareas. Para que ese entrenamiento sea posible, se necesitan millones de data points generados sintéticamente en un entorno virtual o simulador. Ya que el robot debe estar listo para ejecutar sus tareas una vez que se encuentra en el piso de la fábrica. El desafío y el objetivo actual es, a través del análisis datos, achicar el gap entre el mundo virtual y el mundo real. Un robot es claramente más productivo que una persona en la realización de tareas manuales y repetitivas, ya que trabajan 24/7, no se cansan, no hacen paro, no piden vacaciones, no se quejan y el retorno sobre la inversión es más alto respecto a un humano. Ahora bien, los robots también tienen problemas. Si el robot falla, se rompe o se interrumpe una acción puede parar toda una línea de producción generando perdidas millonarias. Por eso, el análisis de datos y el machine learning son fundamentales para optimizarlos, bajar su tiempo improductivo y lograr que funcionen al máximo rendimiento 24/7. En términos de esfuerzo y recompensa, sin dudas Data Science + Robotics es el camino. Las horas culo-silla que inviertas acá te van a generar muchísimos ingresos en el futuro, porque la demanda en perfiles de Machine Learning for Robotics es altísima. Cada avance tecnológico y revolución industrial trae enormes oportunidades laborales, y siempre hay dos caminos: quejarte todo el día de que la IA te va a quitar el trabajo o ponerte a estudiar para aprovechar esas oportunidades. Robot VR control. All the existing "VR" teleop systems I tried felt like shit so I put together my own. Instead of just piping a camera feed, I do a 3d reconstruction so you get depth perception and 6DoF head movement. This feels waay better than a flat image (no 3d, might as well skip the VR), or directly streaming per-eye video, which gets you depth but leaves your view locked in place (0DoF lmao). Not really sure why nobody else seems to do this.
