Today was my 23rd birthday. For me, it was a happy one shared with my family, with my coworkers and with the members of the choir I’m currently in. They all sang ‘Happy Birthday’ for me and congratulated me. When I came back home, I had a cake and I sat down with my parents and sister to watch The Rookie while eating it. I got a lot of presents. As I’m moving out in a month, my parents got me a lot of stuff for my new apartment. They also bought a carry bag for my Steam Deck. My grandmother also sent me some money to buy a present for myself, which I used to buy the game Pragmata (Thanks for that grandma 😘). Today, I was really truly happy. This is not where I believed I’d be right now, a year ago. I’d dropped out of college after realizing I picked the wrong major, so I felt like I was a failure for a long time. But now I’m starting a new major, one I know for a fact I enjoy, and I finally found an apartment to move out in. Don’t ever believe that you can’t do something or that it’s too late to fix something. You’ll eventually find yourself proven wrong. I got a lot of wishes fulfilled this year so far. But my biggest one, the most important one, is that I wish for 90 million Iranians to win the fight against religious tyranny and finally topple the Islamic regime to be free. I wish for that so much more than anything else, because it will change the world and all of world history for the better. That’s not just something I want. It’s something that must happen, because there is no other alternative. That wish still needs to be fulfilled. Javid Shah 🇸🇪🇮🇷
